Reader’s Poll

In 1967, and again in 1971, Bluegrass Unlimited Magazine presented a Reader’s Poll and we have decided to bring it back in 2023.  There are a lot of categories that we might have selected to include in this poll, however, we decided to stay with tradition and use the same categories that we have used in the past, with only a couple of slight modifications.  These categories include our reader’s favorite artist in these categories: banjo, mandolin, fiddle, guitar, bass, Dobro, male singer, female singer and songwriter.  Additionally, readers are asked to select their favorite band, album, and single for 2022-2023.  Two final categories are the favorite bluegrass album of all-time and the favorite bluegrass song of all-time.

Bluegrass has a history that spans over 75 years and everyone has their favorite era of bluegrass and favorite artists and bands from those eras.  However, we ask that when you place your vote, you restrict your selection to artists, songwriters and bands that are alive and active in the 2022-2023 timeframe.    We have provided two categories for albums and songs so that you can include your current favorite and your all-time favorite.

In asking for the reader’s poll favorite votes, we are restricting the voting to current Bluegrass Unlimited subscribers and readers who have purchased this current issue at a store or from our website. We will only accept one vote per reader. After all, it is a “Reader’s Poll,” so we will only accept votes from our readers. If you are not a subscriber and you would like to vote, you’ll need to subscribe, or purchase a copy of the current issue at a store or from our website. All votes will have to be cast prior to the 21st of March, 2023. Results will be published in our May 2023 issue.

We want to thank you for your participation in the 2023 Bluegrass Unlimited Readers Choice. We would like to inform you that the voting is now closed. We appreciate your interest and look forward to announcing the winners soon. Best regards, The Bluegrass Unlimited Team
