Thankful And Blessed

Ohio musician Joe Mullins is one of bluegrass music’s stalwarts. He is an excellent banjo player whose career also included being a member of such bands as The Traditional Grass and Longview. He is also the owner of a radio station and is a broadcaster.

Since forming The Radio Ramblers in 2006, Mullins and the band have become regulars on The Grand Ole Opry. They have also been nominated for or have won several awards, such as Emerging Artists, Entertainer of the Year, Song of the Year, and Gospel Performance of the Year.

Since 2013, the band has had eleven number-one songs and albums. This new all-Gospel project continues the band’s dedication to traditional bluegrass presentation and their love of Gospel music. The current line-up of the Ramblers includes Joe Mullins (banjo, vocals), Adam McIntosh (guitar, vocals), Jason Barie (fiddle, vocals), and Zach Collier (bass, vocals).

The songs are chosen from a variety of sources, such as Rick Lang, Larry Cordle, Paul Humphrey, Randall Hylton, and Albert E. Brumley. Selections include “I Am Blessed,” “Lord I’m Thankful,” “Even Better When You Listen,” “One Breath Away,” “There’s A New World A Waiting,” and “He Set Me Free.” Really great blending of the vocals and harmonies is the band’s trademark, with excellent results, and with the backing of all the musicians, makes this a wonderful new project from the Radio Ramblers.
