The Gospel Plowboys are a bluegrass gospel group based in the Concord, North Carolina area. The band members are dedicated to spreading the good news of the Gospel, Jesus Christ, and His saving grace. The members are devout Christians and focus their music on this messaging. The band consists of Michael Jenkins (guitar), Kris Miller (vocals), Daniel Schronce (mandolin), Peden Williams (banjo), Alec McCallister (fiddle), David Brown (vocals), and Aaron Ramsey (bass), who also engineered, mixed, and mastered this project. They strive to present their music with positive themes, good harmonies, and great musicianship.

Selections include originals from Kris Miller, “I’m Taking a Trip,” and  “Prodigal,” from Michael Jenkins, “Preachin’ Silas,” and “Gloryland is Just in Sight.” Some others include “Keep You Lure in the Water,” “Glory to His Name,” “Let Me Walk Lord, by Your Side,” “Never Grow Old,” “I’m Gonna Die on the Battlefield,” “Are You Praying Hard,” and “The Lighthouse.” There is also a nice guitar-based harmony “Sinner’s Dream,” and the really good a cappella “Never Grow Old.”

Overall, the band has great harmonies backed by some really good arrangements, all in reference to their firm Christian beliefs.
