TIME HAS MADE A CHANGE

Truegrass Entertainment
TGE-69093

After 12 years playing mandolin for Dailey & Vincent, Kentuckian Jeff Parker has stepped out and decided to give running his own band a try. His current band includes Colin Ray (guitar), Joey Cox (banjo), David Chrisley (bass), and Max Silverstein (fiddle). Andy Brown also shows up on bass. Guest musicians are Ron Stewart and Dan Boner (fiddles), and Rickey Wasson (harmony vocals). Wasson co-produced the CD with Parker and joins Parker and Ray on a few harmonies.

Parker is known for a pretty traditional approach to the music, but he can also toss in a little classic country for good measure, such as Johnny & Jack’s “What About You.” Other selections come from writers such as Jerry Salley, Barry Berrier, Gordon Pope, and Steve Seskin. The title-cut comes from Harkins Frye. Other selections include “While Endless Ages Roll,” “A Memory Of You,” “Carolina Line,” “Wrong,” “Southern Wind,” and “Dixieland Or Bust.” Ray offers his own gospel “He Guides My Life” to the mix. With this new project, Parker & Company have shown that Time Has Made A Change and that change is indeed for the good.
