EPs (extended play) recordings used to be small records with more songs than the 45 rpm record, but less than a full LP (long play) album. We are seeing more short CDs called EPs. Here is another with six cuts and almost 17 minutes of music.
The music here is progressive banjo by Sullivan, a former North Carolina banjo player plying his trade in the Big Apple. He is accompanied by Rob Hecht on fiddle, Ross Martin on guitar, and Pat Falco on bass. The project is well recorded and very competently performed. It covers a range of modern banjo sounds including the title cut, a solo banjo waltz. A very well-done project that amply displays Sullivan’s prowess on the five-string banjo from driving breakdowns to introspective modern pieces.
