Based in Nashville, the Farm Hands consist of Grammy winner Tim Graves on resonator guitar, award-winning songwriter Daryl Mosley on bass, four-time nominated guitarist Keith Tew, Opry veteran Don Hill on banjo, and newest member Kimberly Bibb on fiddle. Since forming in 2010, the Farm Hands have dominated the SPBGMA Awards each year, winning Bluegrass Band Of The Year, Gospel Band Of The Year, Album Of The Year, Song Of The Year, and Vocal Group Of The Year, among others. The band has become much sought-after, playing not only concerts and festivals, but also many churches where their gospel repertoire is in demand.
On this new project, the band features two new songs from Mosley and three from Tew. Mosley offers “I Can’t Go Home Anymore” and “You Never Gave Up On Me,” while Tew’s compositions are “The Winds Of Fall,” “One Last Tear,” and “Grandpa.” Other selections include “Stop And Smell The Roses,” “Mississippi Flood,” “In The Garden,” “Southern By The Grace Of God,” and the familiar “Home Sweet Home.” Vocals are shared between Tew, Graves, Mosley and Hill and are backed by solid instrumental performances by the entire group. With six projects now under their belt, it appears the Farm Hands are continuing to harvest great music. (Pinecastle Records, 2514 River Rd., Ste. 105, Piedmont, SC 29673, www.pinecastlemusic.com.)BF
