Having Fun with Bluegrass Rhythm Guitar – Three Advanced Techniques
Here are three ways of having more FUN with your Bluegrass Rhythm Guitar playing. Once you’ve mastered the basic “Boom chuck” groove, you’ll want to vary it in all sorts of ways. If you think like a drummer, you can add rhythmic “fills” at the end of phrases that created temporary tension before resolving at the beginning of the next phrase.
Three concepts discussed are:
1. Short syncopated fill
2. Full length / one measure syncopated fill
